Studio Notices
Is it time for a reassessment? We suggest that all clients have a reassessment at least once a year, this ensures we are fully up to date with your health concerns/goals.
Reassessments are done by Lousie or Jakki. They have been devised to monitor healthy movement patterns and highlight areas that need to be addressed.
In a reassessment individual detail will be offered to create a greater understanding of your own bodies needs.
Please remember to always bring clean socks and a towel to your sessions. If you do forget please let your Instructor know and she will provide you with spares that you may borrow. Remember we also have gripperz socks available at the studio to purchase for $15.
New Staff
Please join us in welcoming Narelle and Amanda to the Centre. Narelle teaches Studio on a Saturday morning and Amanda teaches Allegro on Thursday mornings.
Your Health
Learn to manage your stress levels. Take time to breathe. Ideally before you fall into a deep sleep, find your neutral spine position feel/notice where your breathe goes. See if you can direct your breathinto the back and sides of your ribcage.
Taking time and attention even to notice your breathing pattern helps to relax your body and connect it to your mind.
Ask your Instructor to check your simple breathing pattern to give you feed back.
Your Home Exercises
Stop slouching and bring awareness to you upper back with a simple pec stretch you can do every day.
Stand in the middle of a doorway, one foot in front of the other.
Place hands and elbows on doorway frame.
Slowly lean your body forward, taking weight evenly through your front foot.
Keep your shoulder girdle active,by drawing shoulder blades down and keeping chest/upper back lifted.
You should feel a gentle stretch across the front of your chest and each shoulder.
Hold for 30 seconds and enjoy twice a day.
